The Al-Qaeda franchise in Yemen is claiming responsibility for the murders at Charlie Hebdo in Paris. Their PR guy who looks like a weasel said it was authorized by the leader of Al-Qaeda International. The claim is that the murders were an act of revenge for Mohamed. Whoa! Slow the bus down a second. Do you realize what they said? They are being pretty presumptive to suggest that had Mohamed still been here, he would have been affronted to the point of retaliating to words with physical violence at the level of murder.
This is in direct contradiction to the Quran that says (paraphrased) that if you take revenge it is to be at the same level as the action you want to revenge. If someone hits you, you hit them back; if someone spits on you, you spit back; and if someone uses their tongue against you with words, you use words back. The Quran also says that the more righteous thing to do is to forgive. It’s basically the eye for an eye thing.
Since the reaction was not an equal and opposite reaction and was in direct violation of Mohamed’s teaching, it would mean that the action was not directed by Mohamed or Allah, but by some other entity. Could it be…………….Satan?
Nowhere in the Quran does it say “If you don’t like the way someone speaks kill them.” Therefore, since Al-Qaeda Yemen authorized, trained, and funded this murder, would it not mean that the rest of the world under Islamic Law set out in the Quran has the right to murder every last one of their members? To take it one step further, since it was allegedly authorized by their corporate CEO, should not all members of Al-Qaeda worldwide be responsible for violating the Quran and therefore have to accept responsibility for the murders?
I would suggest to make atonement for the actions of their leadership and by reason of affiliation they should throw themselves on their own swords to get right with Allah.
