I am introducing the Un-Informed Legislation Act of 2015. It states that Congress has no business in interfering with combatants once they are sent on a mission overseas. It would prevent legislators who do not have a clue from tying the hands of our military men and women. We should have learned our lesson from Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq, but evidently they did not and now need to have their hands tied to prevent future actions of such.
Representative Adam Schiff (D) of California’s 28th District has introduced a bill that authorizes President Obama’s war on ISIS (or ISIL, whichever you prefer), but wants to limit what military action can be taken against them.
My response, as should be everyone’s response should be twofold:
1. Unless you are an experienced military leader and wear a military uniform, you need to leave combat operations to those who do. Only the professional soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen know how to fight a war effectively. What you are doing is no different than your average layman telling a neurologist how to perform brain surgery. You don’t have a clue about what you are trying to do; and the end result will be preventable death.
2. It is better to fight and eliminate ISIS from the world over in the middle east than waiting until they get to America and trying to fight them here.
I encourage every American to contact their representatives or Schiff directly at: (202) 225-4176. Tell them to keep their hands out of the military and let them do their job.
Or you can tweet Schiff at @RepAdamSchiff on Twitter.
