I went to take a photo of Orion’s Belt with a Tamron 200-500mm lens that I bought used yesterday. I set the camera on the tripod and used a remote to take the photo. I had the camera set at 200 ISO 5′ f5. All I could see with the naked eye were the three stars of the belt and the one below the left star. Boy was I amazed at what was hidden to me, but not the camera.
So then I decided to take a photo of the moon with the lens set at 500mm. Even on a tripod and using a remote shutter switch, the slight breeze caused a little blurring.
Why is it that even closing in on 60 years of age I am still amazed at things I have seen so many times before?
