Thought For Today

Many countries still have biblical law where violation of the Ten Commandments is illegal and sometimes harsh punishment is passed out for the crimes.  America was that way at one time, but no longer.

Politicians who found it was more fun to steal, commit adultry, covet the neighbor’s wife and the neighbor’s property, and in some cases even murder, have lessoned some laws and completely deleted others to omit responsibility for their actions.

Then, the general population started to use the same tactics and what you get is an immoral nation with no ethical values.  All you have to do is look around you to see what I am talking about.

There is the Texas teen who got drunk and went driving with a bunch of his friends.  Due to his drunken state, he caused an accident that killed several people.  His lawyer got him off because he had grown up in an affluent family who had never held him responsible for his actions.  His lawyers called it ‘affluenza’.

Getting a divorce is like changing the oil in your vehicle anymore.  Contact a specialist and in nothing flat the job is done.  The bible says there are two grounds for divorce:  1) adultry; and 2) abandonment by a non-believer.  But even then it says that God hates divorce and the bible encourages people to confess, forgive, reconcile, and restore and leave divorce as a last resort.

People fight to remove reminders of morality from public places and courts uphold them.

The insanity defense is often effective when the person up until the time of the crime for which they are being tried for has lived within the law.  Then, conveniently for them, they suffer from a bout of ‘temporary insanity’?  BS.

Until we get our moral fiber back, America is going to continue to spiral downward.
