There is another campaign going around social media with people whining about having to pay for their college education. They think that the tax payers should flip the bill for their college expenses. To them I say:
1. Which does a person tend to cherish more, something they get for free, or something they are totally invested in through their own money?
2. At what point do you think you should be responsible for yourself?
3. If you are going to be totally dependent upon the tax payers to pay for your college education, does this not mean that as a dependent you should not reach the age of majority until after you complete a college education?
4. If the taxpayers need to pay your way through college, does this mean those who don’t go to college should be given a cash lump sum equal to a four year education?
They quote other countries that pay for the college educations of their citizens as justification for their wants. For this I just have one thing to say: If you want the free Danish or German education; give up your US citizenship, move to one of those countries and then live there.
End of story.
