I Have a Feeling That the Soapbox is Going to be Busy!

There is a group out there who call themselves “Occupy Democrats” who have started a new campaign against anyone who holds Barack Obama responsible for his actions.  They are posting things like:

“I didn’t like Bush’s administration, but while he was sitting in the Oval Office I still respected his position.  Pres. Obama has put up with so much disrespect that it makes me ashamed of some of my fellow Americans. It’s a national disgrace.” signed, Christine Schmidt Thielk, South Elgin, Illinois

“Why do many Republicans oppose the Iran deal?  Because the alternative is war and there’s money to be made off war, but not peace.”

“Hillary Clinton slams greedy corporations for not sharing record profits with workers:  “There is something wrong when CEO’s make 300 times more than the American worker.  There is something wrong when American workers keep getting more productive, but that productivity is not matched in their paychecks.”

This drivel goes on and on.  First of all, when Bush was in the Oval Office, there was a daily onslaught from democrats about his presidency.  They claimed there were no weapons of mass destruction for one which they knew was a lie from the get go.  They had already seen on the liberal media the hundreds of dead Kurds from chemical weapons.  It also came out later that there were WMD’s found and destroyed, but somehow the liberal media did not determine that was worth reporting.  They also lambasted Bush on all his policies and ridiculed him about his intelligence.  However, Ms. Thielk was careful to say she respected the office, but she never said she respected President Bush. Her disrespect for President Bush can be seen by her addressing him by his last name only, but when she writes of Obama, she puts the title of President before his name.

Since President Obama has entered office, I have not heard one single independent or Republican say they did not respect the office of President.  I have heard them say they didn’t respect Obama though, so that ends that claim by Ms. Thielk, as Republicans respect the office just as much as the Democrats did when Bush was in Office.  What is a disgrace is how Obama has used the office to push through personal agendas without going through Congress.  I have also seen his attacks on active duty military personnel and veterans while protecting criminals who have entered this country illegally.

Claiming Republicans want war to make money is a disgrace and any Democrat that repeats that sophistry should have to personally apologize to every American soldier, sailor, marine and airman out there.

  • Which party was pro-slavery before and during the Civil War?  If you answered the Democrats, you got it correct.
  • Who was the President who after waiting for it to escalate finally sent American troops into World War I?  I’ll give you a hint, it was a Democrat by the name of Woodrow Wilson.
  • Then, during World War II, who used the lend/lease act to revitalize the American economy which led to the Japanese and Germans declaring war on America?  By golly, it was Franklin D. Roosevelt, who used the war to make money and he too was a Democrat.
  • Who was it that sent all the troops to Korea and then restrained them in military actions?  Oh, that’s right it was Truman (a Democrat).
  • Who was it that increased military presence in Vietnam over what had been just advisors?  Wait for it, Yes! it was Kennedy and Johnson.  What party were they?  Oh that’s right, they were both Democrats.
  • Who, even though he had good intelligence on the whereabouts of Osama Bin Laden failed to take him out BEFORE 9/11?  That would be Clinton, a Democrat.  Had he taken him out earlier, it could be argued 9/11 would not have happened.

I don’t know about you, but I see a pattern of major wars all due to Democratic leadership.  Yet, somehow this group of Occupy Democrats must have all failed history classes because they don’t know anything about who has led Americans into war the most.

Finally, the horse manure that Hillary Clinton spews and Democrats seem to love to lap up about income injustice.  This is a two prong response here with the first being the question “How much does Hillary mandate for each speaking engagement?”  If you don’t know, let me joyfully enlighten you; she made $25,000,000.00 in 2014 for speaking engagements.  How about asking her how much of that money is passed on to her receptionist and other employees. Unless each one is making over $83,000.00 per year, Hillary is being a hypocrite because she is making over 300 times what she pays her employees.

The second prong is every American employee agrees to a pay base and benefits when they accept a job.  They have just been appropriately rewarded for their work by the paycheck they receive.  Their job is to do their part in making that company money and their follow on rewards when the company is profitable is they keep their job!  What the Board of Directors agree upon to pay a CEO has nothing to do with what the employees are making.  There is one CEO and possibly thousands of employees.  This is like arguing that President Obama has never served a day of his life in the military, but as the CEO of the Department of Defense he gets $400,000.00 annual salary plus a $50,000 a year expense account and a lot of perks, while an E1 makes $18,378 per year.

If the employees didn’t think the hourly wage or salary plus benefits were adequate for the work they do, they should never have accepted the job.  Or they can try and renegotiate their pay and benefits while working there.  If that is not satisfactory, no one is holding a gun to their head to keep working there, so quit and go find a job where you think you are adequately compensated for your work; but I don’t think you would want to work for Hillary.
