There is a liberal trend lately to identify any group that supports ideals that differ with their own as a ‘hate group’. They also like to identify any person that vocalizes points of view that don’t align with their own as a hate monger.
Today, Julie Zielinger, a ‘reporter’ writing about an event, identified Liberty Counsel as ‘a known hate group’. Herein lies the issue; a reporter representing not only herself, but also an entity (micnews), has decided that anyone who thinks differently from her needs to be labeled ‘a hate group’.
Congress has defined a hate crime as a “criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offender’s bias against a race, religion, disability, ethnic origin or sexual orientation.” Hate itself is not a crime—and the FBI is mindful of protecting freedom of speech and other civil liberties. The Liberty Counsel has committed no crime, they are simply providing counsel to parents who disagree with the school district decision to popularize abnormal behavior. Yes, it is abnormal behavior. Webster’s Dictionary defines abnormal as “deviating from the normal or average.” (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/abnormal)
In this case, Julie Zeilinger, is the real hater and guilty of hate mongering for labeling those who do not think like she does. She is also bullying people by trying to silence them through labeling them.
