Are You Tough Enough?

I am a day late in posting this, but I want to challenge all who read this to take the Rural Iowegian Christmas Challenge.  Only those who are tough enough can succeed, however it is not a physical challenge , but that of Spirit.

The Rural Iowegian Christmas Challenge goes like this:

December 1st – Do one kind deed for a stranger.

December 2nd – Do two kind deeds for strangers.

December 3rd – Do three kind deeds for strangers.

Each of the following days up to and including December 24th, do the corresponding number of kind deeds.  Since I am a day late, all you have to do to start is three kind deeds today instead of two.  Each deed does not have to be anything extravagant, it could be something as easy as opening a door, saying a kind word to a stranger who is down, putting change in a homeless person’s cup, or paying for someone else’s coffee.

Then, on December 25th, spend some time with your family reflecting on the kind deed that was done for you two millennium ago.  After you have done that, spend another moment reflecting on the deeds you did.  If you take the time to figure it out, you have done over 300 kind deeds in less than one month.  You have positively affected the lives of those 300 people too.  That is what this season is all about; the selfless gift that was given to you and you share with others.

Are you tough enough to be kind?

If you decide to take on this challenge, please repost this challenge to your blog.

God Bless.
