If you earnestly seek the truth you shall find it. Even if it is not what you wanted to find, the truth shall always be the truth. ~ ME
People will sometimes take bits and pieces of the whole to support their view. It is like when atheists take verses of the Bible out of context to condemn people of faith. People of faith will sometimes take things out of context too in order to try and prove their point. This tactic is called sophistry. People using this tactic will usually be found out and it results in people no longer putting weight to the sophist’s words.
Other people will only seek an answer until they have come up with enough information to support their search. They do not seek to mislead as the sophist, but again when discovered to be incorrect or incomplete, their credibility is damaged. It is the trial and error method of learning. This is called heuristics.
When searching for an answer or solution, one should always ask themselves “What am I missing?” This is called critical thinking. Critical thinking skills are imperative in today’s world.
