Thought for Today (10/3/2016)

I see more and more protests where people are blaming the police for people getting shot.  I am now fully on board with the protestors and think that all emergency service personnel to include law enforcement, fire fighters, and emergency responders should be removed from the neighborhoods where the protestors reside and placed on administrative leave to learn their lesson.

The shop owners and home owners in those same areas will have to conduct their own policing, firefighting, and medical duties.  This means if a homeowner shoots someone breaking into their home, they will have to take whomever they shot to the hospital and if they survive, later to jail.

If a shop owner has someone breaking into their store, they will have to determine whether or not the looters need to be shot to protect their own store.  If their store is set on fire, they will have to put the fire out.  If one of the looters needs medical attention, it will be up to the shop owner to determine the level of medical attention that looter gets.

If protestors blocking a highway get run over, I guess other protestors can take them to the hospital.  It will be up to the motor vehicle operators to determine whether or not they want to stop.

Or, we can do the more sensible thing.  If a police officer tells you to drop the weapon, drop it.  If they tell you NOT to return to your vehicle, don’t do it.  If parents see a their juvenile child hanging around with gang bangers, they take on the responsibility of being a parent and parent that child.

I guess we could quit blaming the police for our own lawlessness, but that also means we have to take responsibility for our own actions.
