Thought for Today (3/5/2017)

Prior to four years ago, for a period of six years I spent a lot of time working in the forest on my property and the neighbor’s.  During the spring, summer, and fall I would spend the vast majority of each day cutting firewood from fallen trees with a chainsaw.

Today I cut up a large hickory tree that had fallen across one of the paths.  Tonight I am paying the price for not considering that I had built up some endurance cutting every day that I no longer possess.

Now, it’s time to retire and hope my muscles forgive me.
