Thought for Today (4/27/2017)

I went to the forest today to look for morel mushrooms.  I wandered through the usual spots where I normally find hundreds of mushrooms to no avail. The longer I looked, the more frustrated I found myself.  After four hours of searching and having nothing to show for it, I was ready to blow up.  It was at this point that I gave myself a good chiding.  Yes, I had not found what I was looking for, but even without any morels for another year will not make any difference in the big picture.

For me, not finding any morels is really insignificant when compared to the trials and tribulations many people of the world are going through.  John 16:33 says ““I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

So my thought for today is:

When life is not going to your master plan, accept it and instead follow the Master’s plan. ~ ME
