Marc and Misty Ray of Perry, Iowa were arrested for the death of their adopted daughter. Sabrina Ray, 16, weighed only 56 pounds and died in the home of what appears to be starvation. Other malnourished children were also removed from the house where the Rays ran a daycare operation.
When the media showed the two of them on television, both adoptive ‘parents’ are obese and not showing any signs of missing a meal, yet they starved the children. No matter what defense they try for their actions, it will not hold water.
I would love to say “an eye for an eye” but too many would say that would be cruel punishment for these two. So, can we put them both on a restricted diet that will keep them alive, but leave them constantly hungry while serving life sentences so they will ever be reminded of what they did to these children?
